What is an audiologist?

An audiologist specializes in evaluating and treating hearing and balance disorders. Board-certified audiologists have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing science, followed by two or more years of advanced education and experience to achieve board certification. At Orlando ENT Hearing Center, we can diagnose and treat hearing loss, and select and custom-fit hearing aids and other hearing assistive technologies.

Amy Lambeth, AU.D., CCC-A

Amy always knew she wanted to go into healthcare; her dad had a background in speech pathology, and she found her calling in audiology. She became an Audiologist in 2004 and holds an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. During her residency, she worked at Orlando ENT Hearing Center, and she’s been here ever since.

It’s been 15 years and she is still as excited as her patients when their hearing and quality of life is improved. Amy lives in Central Florida with her husband and young son. She enjoys spending time at the beach, Disney World, and visiting her family in Michigan.

“I enjoy helping people make the most of life, being able to communicate and participate in activities that they may have shied away from before they were fit with hearing aids.”
